Auto Tint Basics
There are some important things to remember before you go and get your windows tinted by a local shop. If you do not fully think your decision through you could really cause some trouble for yourself down the road.
I will first talk about the few bad things that using auto tint on your car can create.
First, it may be illegal in some states or local jurisdictions to have tint darker than 50% or so. Be sure to check your local laws or you will be getting yourself a window tint fine or ticket written out. Most cops do not care, but I have ran into some that say they are required to give tickets for dark windows.
Second, it is quite a bit harder to see at night or during the rain with the darker film over your glass. It takes some time to get used to this so be sure to avoid hitting any person or any thing during the time you are getting acquainted with your car.
Now with all those bad things out of the way let us talk about why it is good to get your windows tinted.
First, it just looks sweet. I am not going to make that up. Cars just look better with glass that is darkened. Simple. Next, it can really help you if you have sensitive eyes and have long commutes in the morning or late evening. The glare from the sun and lead to accidents so having your strip of windshield tinted as well can be a huge benefit. Try it out and remove that if you do not like it there.
Last, it makes you vehicle just look different. Most look the same today so mixing it up a bit will give you some creativity and allow your wild side to come out.
Just make a wise decision before jumping into it.
